FAQ

When do class sessions begin?

Adult wheel class registration is monthly with a two-month minimum. Each class is two-and-a-half hours long. You can start whenever there is an opening on a day and time that works for you. The fee is $215 a month and renews automatically unless canceled. Partial months are prorated. Handbuilding classes are also two-and-a-half hours long for an eight week session and have a fixed beginning and ending date. Children’s classes are geared to the school year with 10-week sessions held in fall, winter and spring. During the summer, we offer weekly Camp Mud sessions for kids.

Something has come up, can I get a refund?

If you cannot start your classes, you can get a refund of the fee less an $90 nonrefundable registration fee, but only if you let us know by email 24 hours before the start of your session. After your chosen start date has passed or once you take the first class, there are no refunds.

What happens if I have to miss a class? Can I add it to the end of my session?

For monthly wheel classes, you can get up to two makeups for missed classes. If you let us know at least 24 hours in advance, you can get a Makeup Credit to be using for booking a Makeup up to 60 days in advance.

Can I put a pause on my class session?

If you need to take an unexpected break from your classes, let us know as soon as you can, so we can work out a plan. Due to the high volume of students, you cannot hold your shelf for more than two weeks. Any items on your shelf should be taken home for safe keeping.

Can I do a walk-in class?

All our classes require advance registration. Our one-time Try It classes are offered only at specific times. Registration is online. For Try Its click here. For adult wheel and handbuilding classes click here.

How many pieces can I make?  Do I get to keep them?

How many pieces a person can make in a session varies a great deal from person to person. Every piece that you make is yours.

Can I set up a private event for my group? What are the rates?

You can find information about our private event charges here. Once you agree to our fees, we will check our calendar for open times and line up instructors for the day/time that works for you. We need at least three weeks advance notice to host a private event, more time is better.
